Bruce Cohn, of B. R. Cohn Winery, is a very active man. In addition to making Cabernet Sauvignon and olive oil at his winery in Glen Ellen, he sponsors a popular charity concert each year (hardly a surprise when you learn that he’s managed the legendary Doobie Brothers band for 37 years). His sell-out Fall Music Festival last year raised close to $500,000 for children’s charities and the National Veterans Foundation. And recently, Cohn started cosponsoring a charity concert with NASCAR and Infineon Raceway. With all these activities, what does Cohn enjoy doing in his—albeit spare—free time? We asked him.
Where to Go for Entertainment
Local festivals, including his own and the Sonoma Jazz Festival. (Cohn naturally likes music but notes that the regular pickings are a little slim locally.)
Monthly dinners organized by local caterer Wild Thyme. "They have a nice dinner with music for $35, and it’s great fun."
Favorite Dining Spots
The Swiss Hotel and Ledson Hotel’s new lounge. Juanita Juanita, El Dorado Kitchen, the Swiss Hotel, the Red Grape, the General’s Daughter, Café la Haye, Kenwood Restaurant, Glen Ellen Inn, pretty much anywhere he can take his dog, Moose.

Sonoma Market ("like everyone else in Sonoma").
Best Shopping for the Guy Who Doesn’t Shop
Eraldi’s and Angelique (admitting it’s his girlfriend’s shop).
