Aperture Cellars, Healdsburg

Winemaker Jesse Katz dazzles with his 2016 barrel-fermented Sauvignon Musqué, a bouquet of rich peaches and grapefruit. $45. aperture-cellars.com.

Tognetti Family Winery, Napa

It’s finally here: the Tognetti Family’s 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. The minimalist wine-making style comes through in the fine balance of flavors and the gorgeous body from French oak–barrel aging. $95, available online. tognettiwines.com.

Villa Ragazzi Winery, Napa

With only 195 cases produced, the 2014 Sangiovese bursts with a nice balance of bright red fruit and acidity. $38. villaragazziwine.com

NEW TASTING ROOMS

Acumen Wine Gallery, Napa 

Showcasing wines from the Atlas Peak estate, this large space in downtown Napa is designed by acclaimed artist Vincent Xeus. Tastings are $25 or $40. 1315 First St., acumenwine.com.

Arrow and Branch, St. Helena (at Wheeler Farms)

Davies Vineyards Grayson Building, St. Helena

Durant and Booth, Oakville

Officially opened in 2016, the winery’s renovated tasting room now features a shared patio with its neighbor, Oakville Grocery. Grab gourmet take-out for your wine tasting. Lunch tasting is $50; basic tasting is $20. 7856 St. Helena Hwy., durantandbooth.com.
