Margrit Mondavi

With her platinum bob, Margrit Mondavi has long been a fixture in Wine Country, but rarely do people get such an intimate look into her life as with her new book, Margrit Mondavi’s Sketchbook: Reflections on Wine, Food, Art, Family, Romance, and Life. Mondavi, with the help of food writer Janet Fletcher, takes readers from her childhood in Switzerland to breaking into the wine industry’s boys’ club and entertaining the likes of Sophia Loren and Prince Charles. The book contains watercolors, recipes, and reminiscences from family and friends, retold with a zeal well suited to the vibrant 87-year-old.
